Values Statement
We, the members of the Nisqually Headwaters Coalition, value the natural beauty of the Upper Nisqually Valley, and strive to preserve the pristine environment for future generations. We seek to conserve and protect key forested hillsides and open spaces, for the benefit of the environment, the community and the local economy. We value individual property rights, and pledge to compensate landowners at fair market value for any land which is nominated for preservation. We value collaboration over confrontation, and seek to accomplish our goals without regulation.

Purpose

• To preserve and protect key forests and open spaces in the Upper Nisqually Valley, by compensating landowners at fair market value for their property.
• To foster stewardship of the Upper Nisqually corridor by individual landowners.
• To integrate values of beauty with economic opportunity
• To conserve, nurture, and enhance the environment of the Upper Nisqually Valley, for the benefit of the community, the local economy and future generations.

Vision
Our community works together to ensure a beautiful pathway to Paradise. We value visitors who appreciate the natural beauty of Mt Rainier. We respect the healthy ecosystems of the forested corridors and our responsible forestry reflects this. We seek to preserve a pristine environment for future generations to enjoy.
